Epoxy boards use epoxy resin over EPS foam cores rather than traditional polyester resin over PU foam. In plain terms? You get a board that’s lighter, more buoyant and generally tougher.

That extra buoyancy helps with paddling and wave-catching. You’ll often feel a little more speed off the mark too, especially in weaker surf. Many epoxy boards also have a springier, more responsive feel through turns.
