Named after Peru's famous left hand point break, the Chicama is built for speed, acceleration and control. It will hold it's own in punchy, every day beach breaks, but give this thing a long section to race with an open wall at the end and you'll see where this shape comes into it's own. The design philosphy for the Chicama was about balance: volume and width up front for easy paddling, combined with a drawn in tail for sensitivity and tight turns.

The rocker remains moderate throughout, just enough lift in the nose to handle steep drops, with a long enough flat section through the middle to make the Chicama race through flat sections most boards would get bogged down in. Classic single to double concave V in the tail provides a lively, 'shortboard' like feel.

WHO IS THIS BOARD FOR?
Intermediate to advanced riders looking for a fast, down the line mid length that loves to let loose on an open face and fly through unmakable tube sections. Giddy up!

CONSTRUCTION
Let's face it, everyone loves the classic look of foam and fiberglass, but no one likes the poor longevity. With this construction we aim for the best of both worlds by combining modern materials with a classic finish. The core is made from individually moulded, high density EPS. Rare in the industry and a big advantage because this type of EPS doesn't absorb water in a hurry if there's ever damage. The lamination is epoxy fiberglass with an additional biaxial deck patch, this helps to prevent heel dents from the heavy footed individuals out there. Finally, two parallel wood stringers provide increased resistance to breaking.

So there you have it, the look of a traditional glass board with much greater longevity, a winning combination in our book.

Founded in 1972, reborn in 2025

Honey Surf

Honey Surf was one of Australia's first iconic surf labels. Founded in 1972 when two brothers began making beeswax based surfboard wax in an old dairy shed out the back of Gerringong, on the south coast of NSW. They went onto sell over 2M bars of wax during the 70's and sponsor the current world champion Nat Young.

Now, almost 50 years later, two young brothers from the same family are bringing the Honey Surf label back to life. Still the original, still based in Gerringong.
