Surfboard by Tolhurst

The HI Mid 4 3+3 is the next chapter of the Billy Tolhurst x Harley Ingleby collaboration. It doesn't replace the best-selling Mid 6, it joins it: built directly off the Mid 6 outline, then scaled down, refined and paired with the 3+3 fin system, so it can be ridden as a true quad, a true twin or an asym. Three boards in one. It keeps the wave-catching ability and forgiving feel the Mid 6 is known for, while opening the design up to more surfers. The shorter sizes (5'10, 6'0, 6'2) suit higher-performance and smaller surfers who want Mid 6 DNA without the length, while the mid sizes (6'6, 6'10, 7'4) sit alongside the Mid 6 as a natural companion for anyone wanting a twin or asym option.

Key Features:
• Plan Shape - Direct Mid 6 scale, with a quarter inch taken out of the nose outline at one foot for better pocket-surfing comfort in tighter sections.
• Bottom Contour - Flat entry with Billy’s signature rail relief. Forgiving underfoot and free through slower sections, without the stickiness of deep concaves.
• Channels - Four channels (down from the Mid 6’s six) to open up the tail for the 3+3 fin system - true quad drive, twin feel and asym experimentation.
• Rails - A more performance-oriented rail, made possible by the flat, forgiving bottom.
• Fins - 3+3 FCS
   Quad (black plugs)
Twin (white plugs) - add canards up front for a twinzer
Asym: Twin on toe side, quad on heel side
• Construction -
   Thunderbolt Red - Candy White
• Finish - Matte

Competition Weight & Flex

Thunderbolt Red

Thunderbolt Red is a everyday construction that provides a classic feel with high performance. It is best suited to waves from 1ft to just over head high.
Thunderbolt Red is lighter than traditional PU board but still has a good weight. It's lamination is a 6oz + 4oz on the deck, with a 6oz + 2oz fibreglass on the bottom.
Thunderbolt Red will still feel in control in choppy & windy conditions.
