The EVO (Evolution) is a new take on the Mph design, utilising softer features and more outline curve to encourage a smoother transition and a more 'in the pocket' line of attack. A wider central wide point comparative to the Vader, the EVO should be considered favourable to smaller weaker waves, however like most TOMO MPOH designs, the EVO will still be quite functional in overhead conditions. Maintaining an almost symmetrical outline and a completely unique and highly innovative "double inside single concave into split quad concave" planning hull, the EVO feels as if it's almost levitating on the water! Yet once on rail, it has a precise rail sensitivity and hold. The EVO should be ridden as short as possible with user friendly volumes packed into the shortest MPH sizings yet offered by TOMO.
ABOUT LINEAR FLEX TECHNOLOGY (LFT) CONSTRUCTION
Firewire’s product development is focused on three things: The exclusive use of epoxy resins and epoxy resin and EPS foam cores, achieving lighter and stronger surfboards through sandwich construction, and optimizing flex to enhance performance. Though LINEAR FLEX TECHNOLOGY (LFT) may appear to be a simple construction employing familiar design philosophies found in traditionally built surfboards, nothing could be further from the truth.
LFT incorporates Firewire’s new SPRINGER HD, a 0.75” (18 mm) wide aerospace composite that runs down the centerline of the board, representing the next generation in our SPRINGER technology. Unlike the original balsa SPRINGER build which only added stiffness under the front foot, the SPRINGER HD runs the entire length of the board and plays a pivotal role in optimizing flex from nose to tail.
Note: Some board colours and sizes may not be currently in stock and require ordering, enquiries are welcome.
All Firewire surfboards comes in either FCSII or Futures fin system, simply note your preference in the order comments when checking out! Not sure which way to go? Get in touch today!
