FEATURES
✓ 2 + 1 fin setup
✓ Astoundingly drivey, super-quick and loose above the lip when searching for release, the MISC. is a team-rider favourite, now available for those wanting that elusive performance twin.
✓ The MISC. is an extraordinary twin (or 2+1) that will actually ride like your performance board — top to bottom — but you’ll be flying around the wave with that drag-free twin fin feeling.
✓ Future Flex Construction
✓ . The outline uniquely uses a wing well behind the front fins, thus releases water later, which is why the board maintains plenty of hold off the bottom and top.
✓ The MISC. also has the outline’s wide-point, bringing plenty of volume forward in the shape, resulting in great paddling speed. Once up and riding, exceptional feelings of “flow” and “glide” are the best sensations to describe the board. Placing the twin fins toe-in a little straighter also generates plenty of drag-free down-the-line speed. The fin-boxes have also been positioned further back in the board to lean towards hold and control.
✓ Technically, the bottom contours on the MISC. feature a rolled vee in the entry, slight single concave under the front foot running through the board fading out at the tail.
RECOMMENDED FINS
We recommend the any of our Futures and FCS II Thruster fins, see here.

CONSTRUCTION: FUTURE FLEX CONSTRUCTION
Designed and patented by Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox, FutureFlex is an affluent mix of modern custom designed materials and modern design innovation for high performance surfing. The construction combines a stringer-less, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.
The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance vitality of the overall product. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twist, FutureFlex essentially stores and releases energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. Tom Carroll, who was the very first person, after Hayden, to test drive the first ever FutureFlex, describes the tech as “the Ferrari of surfboards” for it’s fast-twitch nature and lively response. The FutureFlex construction creates a fast, dynamic and highly responsive surfboard that’s been design engineered for performance surfing ranging from the intermediate to advanced level.

ABOUT THE BRAND
In 1996 on Sydney’s northern beaches, at the age of 15 Hayden Cox shaped his first string of surfboards from his parent’s backyard for himself, school friends and a few local surfers. Slapped on the top right of each craft, was an ill-formed HS symbol that was soon defined into a well-rounded Haydenshapes logo, thus a brand was created.
