CONSTRUCTION - Performance Core Carbon (PCC)
FCS new PC Carbon construction produces a 3D twist and roll action with linear flex, resulting in a fast, super responsive fin that feels much smoother through turns. PCC fins are best suited to fast surfing and favoured by more advanced surfers who like to perform explosive turns on critical parts of the wave. The new PCC essential series has been constructed using AirCore technology, which is a pressed polyurethane foam core which mimics the geometric foil of the fin. AirCore allows a lighter fin to be created with total manipulation of flex.  An internal carbon framework designed specifically to suit each template and using epoxy resin with carbon twill on the base a more user-friendly flex pattern is created. Stiffness in the lower half of the fin enhances drive and acceleration from take-off, and a softer flex through the top half of the fin results in a smoother and more predictable feel when turning.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 1995, in a humble backyard on Sydney’s northern beaches, FCS was born out of the revolutionary idea of creating screwless surfboard fins. This simple concept went on to change the way we build and ride surfboards forever. Removable fins allowed surfers to customise the performance of their surfboard by having the ability to test different fin templates. FCS has set the standard for surf hardware products for over a decade! FCS aim to continue a creative and sustainable approach in everything they do. 1% of all sales are donated to the preservation of our oceans and to support awareness and activism around environmental issues. 50% of FCS Glass flex Fins are made from regrind material. FCS are also doing their part by using recycled packing for their fins. Using paper-based pulp trays (made from old newspapers) and a recycled PET plastic sleeve.
